The firm, formerly COSTA REIS & ASSOCIADOS, arose
from the union of two prestigious law firms: Hen-
rique Pancada Fonseca, consultant of the Traders
Union of Lisbon for many years, and Honored by
Portuguese Bar Association, now for more than 50
years of practice with quality and probity; and Fran-
cisco da Costa Reis (deceased 2001) with decades of
law practice, also responsible for the creation of the
private media group IMPRESA.
Francisco da Costa Oliveira, became senior partner
in 1995, has the academic degree of Master in Crimi-
nal Law, and lectured as Assistant to the Professor in
the Faculty of Law of the Lisbon University for 8 (ei-
ght) years. Is a published author of several lawbooks
by Almedina and the creator of the distinguished
Advocacy Practical Treaty, now translated to English.
The accuracy and thoroughness of their services
have justified the loyalty, for several decades, of dif-
ferent traditional families of the Portuguese society,
who permanently seek their advice for the mana-
gement of land assets and investments. In support
of business companies, PANCADA FONSECA stands
out with a large portfolio of clients which includes
multinational companies in areas such as invest-
ment funds (Luxemburg), electrical industry (Ger-
many), shipping (Cardiff) and real estate investment
groups, as well as Portuguese business companies
with activity areas as diverse as media & publishing,
public services, hotel chains management, real
estate investment, private healthcare, asset mana-
gement, construction & insurance law.
